Fig Leaf Liqueur

Dutch colonists in South Africa made a liqueur from fig leaves, rather than fruit by simmering young leaves in water. In Italy, Fig Leaf Liqueur is often made by drying the leaves before macerating in alcohol.

Our fig Leaf Liqueur is made the “Dutch” way by boiling fig leaves, reducing the liquid to a syrup and adding to a vodka base before sweeting. The result is nothing like you’d expect!

Our liqueur has the aroma of fig, and the flavours of coconut, green walnut and a hint of white chocolate. It is made for enjoying either neat, as an aperitif or digestif, or deliciously drizzled over an affogato.
